New Math's Moves!

This week in maths Danika and I were working on stage 7 Orange book page 22-23.

We were doing mixed fractions and improper fractions so it was up and down for a while.

The books we could choose from were stage 6 blue and green book and stage 7 orange and green book.

We got about a quarter page every day Monday - Wednesday but only this week it was fun but really hard but we only one page done but we were so close to getting onto the second page but we sadly didn't so we just left it like that and well get back to it someday.

Learning Goals By The End Of The Term

 Literacy

My goal for Literacy is doing the big thinking and sharing all of my ideas and to agree if the choices I didn't a fishily agree on but be happy for them.

Maths
My goal for Maths is to try and answer every question correctly but if I don't I will be happy for the person hew did answer the question.

Athletics
My goal for athletics is to try and get into the finals for high jump and not head plant into the ground like last year and try my best in everything.qq

Today i'm making a blog post about my CURIOSITY.COM that I did last week.

It is about, It's Illegal to Take a Photo of the Eiffel Tower Illuminated at Night.

Finding facts and researching it was a little hard but really fun. I like that the

Eiffel Tower Photo is at night because it looks more brighter and cooler.

The thing that was most hard to research was the people who built it and what is it made out of
but the rest of it was cool, looking for the right picture or photo of the

Eiffel Tower was hard because it wanted it to match the writing of it.

This one that I picked of It's Illegal to Take a Photo of the Eiffel Tower Illuminated at Night
was a hard work but  fun.

Curiosty.com Is definitely gonna be one thing I would be teaching my class if I was a teacher.

Goal's For This Week

Vocabulary

. I select a variety of words and phrases to make the meaning of my writing really clear and / or create mood.

. I choose words to make people want to read my writing.(For example:powerful nous and verbs, exciting adjectives and adverbs, similes, metaphors, synonyms and onomatopoeia).

Spelling

.I spell most Essential List words correctly.

. I attempt some difficult words using my knowledge of spelling rules.

. I attempt some difficult words using my knowledge of morphemes.

. I write all sounds I hear in a word.

Maths

. I would like to finish off my blue and green book so I can get my contract finish as soon as possible.

My Literacy Goals For This Week

My Literacy goals for this week is to focus on my reading to get more words accurate as possible, and also to find the meaning of a new word I don't know and also don't know how to pronounce it properly in a dictionary.

Student Report Comments

The thing that i’m proud of at school is Writing, because you can figure out new types of words.

The thing find difficult is my spelling because some words are really hard to spell.

My favorite learning area in the classroom is RE because you can find longer Bible stories.

The thing I most want to improve on is my Art because you can learn a lot of brush technique.
