Mahi Tahi Work

Every Tuesday Te Kahu, Kakapo, and Tui all go into Piwakawaka to do Mahi Tahi which means working as one.

So after prayer on the 26th of March we did prayer and went into Mahi Tahi and did a man Vincent Van Gogh starry night art.

But with a twist we had to do it by using coloured paper!!!

It looked 'really hard and we all thought that it was going to be really hard but we gave it a shot. We got split into our groups and had to in large it to fit our black paper this was the end product.

The trap is killing more possums, rat and stoats.
With the humane trap A24 the possums, rat and stoats die
straight away with no suffering.

That the possums are just left dead on the ground because people
could stand on them and it would be a really, really, bad smell.

How the lure lasts 6 six months instead of one so they
don’t have to keep coming back every month.

I'm Taryn a Yr 6  at Pompallier School.

I've got lots of friends at Pompallier and here is a picture of some.

This photo is one that I took with my friend Danika I took this photo with her because she is one of my best friends.

This is a photo with me with me and my friends Lily and Holly.The  short one is Lily and the tall one is Holly.

The thing that has changed for me this year is that my level of learning has gone up heaps, and it's really good because I have got 2 more years at Pompallier School so it is really good.

The thing that is am looking forward to this year is to try and get better for speeches.

New Math's Moves

New Math's Moves!

This week in maths Danika and I were working on stage 7 Orange book page 22-23.

We were doing mixed fractions and improper fractions so it was up and down for a while.

The books we could choose from were stage 6 blue and green book and stage 7 orange and green book.

We got about a quarter page every day Monday - Wednesday but only this week it was fun but really hard but we only one page done but we were so close to getting onto the second page but we sadly didn't so we just left it like that and well get back to it someday.
